    i keep trying nero for burning vcd because it's got a nice easy method for dragging your mpg file into a vcd template,
    but it keeps returning errors to me
    can anyone suggest another easy piece of software where you can drag your movie into an existing template like nero
    that also supports overburn

    What exact errors are you getting?

    Else, you could try WinOnCD or Easy CD Creator.

    For a simple VCD, you could also use VCDImager with one of the GUIs (e.g., TSCV or VCD Easy).
