Is there anyway you can download an AVI file, and run it through some sort of software to make it a better quality file, or is what you download pretty much what you get?

Virtualdub has loads of filters available that remove noise, brighten the picture etc....

How about some filters to remove that guy getting up to go to the bathroom, or that lady laughing (cackling)?

Yes ...... filters, and a bit of knowledge of how to use them.

Google and the Guides section are your friends here.

I don't mean for this to sound rude, but given that your last few threads have all displayed an "all this is too hard" attitude and a lack of research (and the will to do the research in the first place), I'd suggest that biting the bullet and buying the material on DVD might be the least painful solution for all involved.
    If in doubt, Google it.

"displayed an "all this is too hard" attitude and a lack of research (and the will to do the research in the first place)"..............

Seems like more and more want the answer given outright to them without doing any research, learning or studying... I was perusing a newsgroup a few weeks ago and answered a guys inquiry about converting from Divx to DVD..Said he's been to this website and couldn't find out how to do it or nobody would answer his question as to how to go about doing it.... I answered him back and said his question had been answered a million times here on the site and there were a ton of guides he could research and easily find his answers... I got blasted back because I basically told the guy to do the work, try different programs, and do some research...... I have nothing against trying to help someone, but like you said, they gotta bite the bullet and do some research in the wealth of guides available here and other sites...

That's the beauty of discussion forums - differing points of view.

I still think I'm right, and your reluctance (or incapacity) to use a search engine like google, or the forum search tool here, led to me formulating my opinion. Doesn't mean you have to agree with it, but hey, you're the one that wants free help, right ?

No worries, you're excused. Just don't do it again

It IS a discussion forum, and a fine one at that. The only problem is that almost everything you're asking has been answered already, and instead of us regurgitating 1,000's upon 1,000's of words from other peoples' posts to piece together the puzzle that is video, we suggest you go and read those posts / discussion papers, guides, etc etc - It's nothing personal - just an efficiency thing.

It's not something someone can just give to you straight in their own words and within 5 minutes you'll be an expert - you need to read, read, read, read, read, read, experiment, read, read, ask questions when you get stuck, read, read, experiment, read, read .... and read some more.

... and my answer was my honest opinion on how I think you'd be best to attack this. You don't have to like it.
    If in doubt, Google it.
