Hey there, this is my first time posting here and I really needed help trying to solve a problem I'm having with my DVD player. Okay, I know for a fact that there were two versions of the Toshiba SD-3960 DVD player, one which could not be hacked, the other that could. Fine, however, there is mention that you can change it from NTSC to PAL, yet, at the same time, from what I hear in other forums, that you cannot? Which is it? I'm asking this because I wan't to purchase two R2 DVDs, one NTSC and the other PAL, however, I cannot tell the difference between the two of them. I really would like help, since this is something that is killing me and bothering me as well.
BTW, what is the difference between this player and the old one and do you know if there is any way to clean the DVD inside using some sort of disc? Off topic, I know, but I didn't know where else to put this.

Maybe I should have worded it differently. Yeah, to make it simple, I know that there are two verisions of this Toshiba player, one that you can hack, the other you cannot. I just want to if it's able to change from NTSC to PAL, but there's option called ''Auto'' but do know what is it.
