When i try to load an avi file ( divx encoded) which plays ok in my Phillips 642 stand alone player, i get an error message " couldn't locate decompressor for format DX50 ( unknown)".
The sound is out of synch for this file and I would like to use virtual dub to change that but i cannot load the file. Can someone help me please,
Thanks

Perhaps i haven't explained things properly. I get that message when I try to load the file into virtualdub. I have installed ffdshow.
