  1. Ok, I just got myself an HP laptop with a 15.4" widescreen hd monitor. The picture is really nice. I was wondering if there is a card I can buy that I can hook up my xbox to it to play games with the monitor. Kind of like a card for video in with the nice HD kind of hookups (component). I don't know if this kind of thing exists thats why I'm asking. Obviously I don't have an HDTV so I'd like to use the next best thing.

    TIA

  3. Since he got banned (! did he do that while responding to my message does the banning message spread to all of his replys...just asking) does anyone know if that thing uses component video inputs?

EDIT: Doh!!! I must have skipped past it, it only has s-vid or composite inputs...Does, then, anyone know of one of these that has component vid inputs?

Most xbox games arn't in full HDTV (720p or 1080i). 99% of them are progressive scan though (480p = 640x480 @ 60hz). If you want full HDTV gaming, you'll need to get one of them newfangled XB360's when they come out

Expect lots of latency (delay from console input to display on the laptop LCD) using any of these interface boxes. It isn't a much of a problem when playing a linear DVD but expect to loose when playing games.
