I recently bought a DVD player..Its made my Memorex I think or something like that...

Anyways it plays mp3s, dvds, vcds(err...sorta)

My problem is yesterday I burn a VCD...It worked! Except after the first 60 seconds played it restarted and started at 0 seconds...

So it was really...umm...strange. I then started using a button called 'Digest' on my controller...It sort of copped up the movie into sections (but it only found one section )...So then I played the one section and it played fine...up to point of about 30 minutes in which my friend and I were chatting and missed part of the dialogue...

Naturally we tried to 'rewind' the vcd...However when we tried to rewind the movie restarted at 0:00. From the very beginning!...We couldnt seem to get it to go forward using reverse or fastforward or whatever...

Eventually we used the 'JUMP' command and I was able to force it manually to restart at 24:24...

Anyways I am wondering...Is it normal to be unable to rewind vcds? Im guess...'No!' So...Then is the problem arrising as a result of my dvd player? The VCD in Nero didnt burn right? The mpeg was messed up? I sould cut the mpegs into peieces so I can do 'scene selection' or something along those lines???



Also my friend found my VCD and the idea of burning vcds really cool. The only problem is he doesnt have a 'true' dvd player...His Dvd player is inside his Playstation 2. Will a PSX2 DVD player play VCDs or is he just plain outta luck?
