I just bought series 1&2 of the BBC show Coupling. I'm from Norway and sometimes it's hard to understand what's being said on the DVD. There are no subtitle tracks on the DVD, but from what I can read on the www, it is 'closed captioned'.
Is there any way that I can view these closed captions on my european Philips TV set? The way I understand it, it is the TV set that has to "take care of business", and not the DVD player. Is this correct? I read something about Close Captioning being displayed when you mute the TV...
If I can't view them on my TV, does anyone have another solution for me? Is there some software that can help me rip the DVDs with the captions so I can burn them afterwards.
Any help appreciated!
