I posted this problem some days back but it's back to haunt me.
I first used Smartripper, then using one of Sefy's method, I used DVDx to encode the mpeg since I wanted subtitles. The resulting mpegs has poor audio. It's wavers and sounds "jerky" and "choppy". What's happening?

I'm not sure why that happened, did you match the encoding with your original source ? also, try the Flask method!

why dont you rip the audio separtely and encode by it self then mux it with the mpeg that DVDx made the toolz you need are Vob2Audio to rip the audio or DVD2AVI, SSRC to downsample, and toolame to encode to mp2....this way you can have control how your audio is going to be and better quality
....and if you want sub why dont you do that VirtualDub Method...much better sub size and positioning and color
