User bomul already reported this problem.

I´m trying to convert video_ts folder to xvid avi movie with subtitles (burned in).
    I get following error:

New_Face failed. Maybe the font path is wrong.
Please supply the text font file (~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf).
    subtitle font: load_sub_face failed.

The movie I get looks OK and has subtitles. (I understand Bomul is not getting anything).

    I have mac os x 10.3/ffmpegx 0.0.9a

    Thank You

This has no consequence. You should get the VOB subtitles burned without problems.

  3. I get this message, too, with no subtitles actually burned in. Using .0.9.k. When I use the Preview under the Filters tab, the subtitles are viewable but nothing is there in the actual movie. Help. (Trying to re-code a divx movie with subtitles.)

  4. Old 0.0.9k binaries were unable to burn subtitles into AVI.

  5. I can only run OS 10.2.8 Jaguar on my G3 Powerbook. Is FFMPEGX 0.0.9k the newest version I can run? Or is there any way I can add a binary to it to burn subtitles on an AVI?

  6. Unfortunately 0.0.9k is the last version compatible with 10.2. You should consider upgrading to 10.3.
