I am getting this error, first this is a new computer AMD dual core 5400+ 2 gig og ram, I am running window XP SP2 Lite on DVD-RW using dvd r+ disc

I am using Apollo DVD creator
ver 4.2

I have tried other dvd burning programs and the they get the same type of errors.
it also reads dvd's fine

Can anyone help please.

Just the final error message, without more details, makes diagnosing the problem impossible. Can you find some place in the program to enable generating a complete burn (or debug) log? That's the minimum it would take to figure out the problem.

Since you've tried other burning software, it would be even better if you would supply a burn log from ImgBurn, or Nero, etc. They're a lot easier to read, and provide all the details needed to see what the problem is. If you aren't familiar with ImgBurn, it's the best dvd burning software available, and it's free. It's definitely worth downloading, and worth trying, even if it's only to generate a clean burn log.

On a separate matter, I'd like to offer you some free advice...you can take it or leave it as you please, and either way, I'll still be happy to help you with your problem (once you post a full burn log). If you haven't already paid for the "Apollo DVD creator", there's something you might want to think about...the error message you got was generated by StarBurn which is a burning toolkit distributed by a company called Rocket Division. They sell licenses for the toolkit to companies that don't have the expertise to author their own burning capability into an application. That, in itself, isn't necessarily a bad thing...but "Apollo Multimedia" (the company responsible for your software) is a chinese company, CreateDVD.net (the product's web site) is far too slow for a reputable company, and one of their other products is the "#1 Dvd Ripper". Put all together, there's a big red flag waving about these guys. It's up to you how you spend your money, but I would hate to see you get taken for a ride.

I appreciate the effort, but the log you posted only covers the preparation of the material by NeroVision, and doesn't include any actual burning information.

Assuming you now have the dvd material in a VIDEO_TS - AUDIO_TS structure somewhere on your hard drive, you could just tell Nero to burn the structure, and post that log. That should keep NeroVision out of the picture.

As an alternative, you could use ImgBurn (in build mode) to burn the structure, and post that log instead. If you have a -R disk available, you can do a "Test Mode" burn in ImgBurn, and not waste a blank disk. If all you have is +R, the "Test Mode" burn is a real burn, and the disk will actually be written to.

I just got the exact same error on Preminition. I nornally don't have too many fail, but Sony is the worst cuz they are constantly messing with things. Selecting "movie only" I got failure, but re-trying with "full movie" I got success. This has worked before, in cases with non-std files. I suppose the software "makes mistakes" trying to sort out which are the movie-only files and results in errors. Whatever the theory, what works is what is really the bottom line.

I used anydvd (latest ver) ripping thru dvddecryptor and dvd2one + copy2dvd. I bet other things softwares might also work, but try reversing the option of full vs movie-only. Sometimes the reverse of the above works. Fortunately this doesn't come up on very many movies, most often on certain recent sony in my experience.

i am using easy dvd creator and getting the same message. it converts fine but will not burn none of my programs. they were working fine the other day til i uninstalled one of the programs and since then none of my converters will burn. yet my one click dvd pro copies fine. it says there is a missing dll which is; C:\windows\system32\mljjbbc.dll i cannot find this dll or any info on it what is it i am about to zero fill and put another o\s in just so i can burn again.

if you try to burn with imgburn, it may show the failure in the log of power calibration area error. and this post gives some different ways to fix it. mine was fixed by just using better media. http://www.megaleecher.net/Fix_Power_Calibration_Error
