Since TiVO now supports playing back MPEG-2 files from your computer, I'm in the process of translating any of my AVI files to MPG files. For the most part this has worked out just fine. However, on some longer DIVX encoded files, I find that TMPGEnc XPress and Intervideo WinDVD will only recognize the first 34 minutes and 22 seconds of the file, regardless of how long the file actually is.
I find the fact that it always breaks there even on different files and using different tools to be rather interesting.
Any idea what is causing this? Any idea on what I can do about it?
TIA,
Ewan

Sorry about that, guess I need to update my Profile. Machine is a P4 with 512 megs of RAM running Win XP SP2. All disks are NTFS.
FWIW,
