    i was wondering if it is possible to do more than 2 passes with XVID and if so if the quality would even look better.

    Law of diminishing returns after 2 passes - mostly size optimizations.

    If you're into High Quality, look into x264

    Yes it is possible. However there is a reason why the VfW version doesn't support more than 2 passes; as already said XviD doesn't need it.
