Does look as though I'll have the Sith DVD before Xmas.
I'll probably get the PAL version of this just like the previous Star Wars titles as bought in Australia.

I have the 2nd special edition widescreen release! It doesn't say special edition like the 97 set. This was released in 2000. I already had the 1st release special editions with the interviews and stuff. Why did I buy the extra set?? I didn't have a widescreen of it. I had the last thx release of the original trilogy but they were full screen. So after two full screen sets I wanted a widescreen. And not knowing how many years it would be until the OFFICIAL dvd release I decided to buy itAnd I still have all of my ot vhs
(though I gave away my wide and full screen copy of phantom menace - which I have on dvd of course
).
THough here's a little bit of trivia:
In the bonus set of phantom menace theres a background bit with john knoll one of the special effects supervisors. In the phantom menace widescreen tape there is a short opening with background on it. They do the story board and all that. At the end of it knoll said Lucas felt like he was holding back on episode 1. On the vhs tape you can here him clearly say "that gave us all a real scare" referring to how much more work they'd be expected to do on episode 2. Now on the dvd release they show that same segment but omitted the knoll reference!Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
