Nero Vision Slide Show

I have been trying to make a slideshow, using jpeg pictures, to show on large screen TV, using Nero Vision Express. I have burned to DVD, CD-R and none will play on either of two DVD players. Everyone says I need to finalize after burning, but I see no option for that. What am I doing wrong? I have a Phillips DVP642 video player and a Pioneer DVR-RT500 recorder player.

Finalize- Yes. Maybe prob. Cool player buy the way, might get me one or simular to funtions.

How do you finalize? There is no option for that on the Nero software.

Are you producing a VCD slidshow ?

Yes, That is what I am attemping. When I burn it Nero saves it as a xxx.nvc.

You could test out a VCD slideshow made with some diferent software, such as VCDEasy v1.5.2. and see if it runs on your DVD players.

If I need to finalize can someone tell me how to do it. As you can tell I am a complete novice w/CD burning etc.

1. open NVE(nerovision express)
2. choose "make slide show"
3. choose "video cd"
4. browse and add to project(blue button on right side)
5. after you added all the pictures click "next"
6. click "next" till you get to BURN OPTIONS
7.choose burner
8.click "Burn"

you can also add music and transitions after you have added pictures in step 4

I did all that and the slideshow with music will play on PC, but will not play on DVD player.

Trying a different application may give you insight as to why Nero isn't giving the expected results. VCD's are not data disks, I don't think that VCD's have finalising.

Try VCDEasy 1.5.2

I have used NVE3 and had no problem. the disc will finalize. I have made a slideshow on cd-r and also dvd-r. they both play in my $25 amw dvd player. I also can play them in my Pioneer 531hs but after it loads i have to hit play and then enter. I assume your configuration is correct. they are all set as defaults.

Thanks for all the help. I used Nero PhotoShow and was able to playback.
