I am running Media Center 2005 and I am trying to burn some recorded TV programs to DVD to view in my upstairs TV. There is an option to create DVD in media center and when I use this option, it starts to create the DVD, gets to about 1% complete, hangs a bit and then spits out the CD and says "there has been an error". The burner LED light does not come on and I can not hear the drive spinning.
I've created Data DVDs and I've also used Pinnacle Studio 9 to create a DVD of a small video clip and it worked OK. The drive also works fine as a DVD ROM. So it seems as though this is not a hardware problem with the burner (BTW, the burner is a MATSHITA SW9585 if that helps). I also believe media center is using sonic encoders.
Does anyone out there have any ideas and/or experience with DVD authoring from within Media Center 2005?
Any help would be appreciated.
