As everyone already knows ATI supplied PowerCinema3 and MakeDVD is pease of shit, so I'm looking for something better to capture family video to digital format.

Is there a program that would give me lots of choices and allow chenge brightness, contrast of a video that is being captured? Also later on edit cut/join parts of the cuptured video.

Is Power Director 4 worth looking at or it's same as PowerCinema3?

  2. Hello. You can use GraphEdit to make changes to the video proc amp, but if you want something easier to use, use GB-PVR. You can capture to MPEG-2 directly with it and is fully functional to watch TV or capture from S-Video and composite.

  3. I have been using Beyond TV 3 by Snap Stream. Try a trial version to see if you like it, just google it.

The only program I tried that actually works with my Theatre Pro 550 is Pinnacle Studio 9.3.

Pinnacle Studio 8 won't do it, and I had problems with EVERY other program I tried.
Try the trial of Studio 9.3
I get zero dropped frames with Studio 9.3 and audio and video sync is perfect. I'm still at the point where I'm tweaking the settings to get the best output.
