My other PC has intermittent power on problem. If I press the power button("PB"), it will start to run but the moment I release it, it will stop. Sometimes it takes five times or more of pressing the PB before it runs continuously to boot up. Sometimes I have some success if I press and hold it for maybe 5 seconds. Is it the power supply?
Another info - this is plugged into a surge protector power strip which I turn off when not in use. Usually when I switch it on, the PC start to run and boot up without pressing the PB. It does the same thing to date, problem is the PC stops (after maybe 2 seconds) and I have to press the PB many times. Thanks.

take your case apart and make sure the switch and button assembly behind the front bezel are properly seated and not broken.

What Xylob the Destroyer said. Sounds like you have a bad switch. Quick and dirty, you can trade the reset switch terminals for the 'on' switch terminals. They both work the same way.
Just change the wires connected to the motherboard. If this works OK, then your case 'on' switch is bad. Not so easy to replace, but you might find one that works. If the 'reset' switch works, no big deal. You use the reset instead of the on. Reset is used rarely, and a faulty switch is less important for that use. -
Thanks, guys. I may have somebody to do this. This is one of the PC components which I have not yet touched.
