  1. Hi, i have quite a few TV episodes i was wanting to put onto DVD, and was hoping to put the majority onto a Dual Layer DVD+R.

I have used DVD Lab Pro to author and create the DVD, but for some reason i cant get any programme, Nero 6, DVD Architect 3, DVD Decryptor, PgcEdit to burn the authored DVD Video Files. This is the error messege i get with DVD Decryptor:

    "I/O Error !

    Device [0:0:0] SONY DVD RW DW-D56 PFS3 (F (ATA)

    ScsiStatus:0x02
    Interpretation:Check Condition

    CDB: BF 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 0C 00 00
Interpretation: Send DVD Structure DVD+R DL Boundary Information

    Sense Area: 70 00 00 00 .......
    Interpretation: Write Protected "

This is the first time i am burning to DL DVD+R, so i would really appreciate any help.

I am running Sony Laptop A417S, 2G pentium M with 1G DDR Ram and a sony Dual Layer DVD writer.

    Again, thanks for any help

If you are a registered user of DVDLab Pro, they sell a product called CopytoDVD for $26.00.

This will allow the DVDLab software to burn to a dual layer disk.
Whatever doesn't kill me, merely ticks me off. (Never again a Sony consumer.)

Sounds like it is the media. Your Sony dvd burner probably just doesn't like. It happens. Try a different brand, but to save on costs, buy as few as you can. No sense in wasting money.

Your other option is just to run it through dvd shrink to make it fit on one single layer dvd.

  5. hi, thanks for the reply.

It seems to have done the trick!! I was using Datawrite discs which were not working, and i tried a TDK disc, which worked fine.

    thanks for the help
