  1. Hi,

    In firefox 1.0.6.

I opened a page in Internet explorer by clicking:

    Tools
"Always view this page in IE"

    How do I undo this?

I checked in the mozilla forums and can't find anything

    Thanks

I like it a lot. And it's easy to remove a site from the Always open-list. In Firefox: From the Tools menu, select Extensions. Pick IE View from the extensions list, then click the Options button. Select the site you wish to return to Firefox, click Delete, then OK.

  3. Thanks for the post but I've already tried that.

Now it just goes in a loop

I open firefox, click the link, IE launches the website.

Now I'm in IE so I right click the link, select "Open with Firefox". Firefox opens and launches the link, then instantly launches IE again.

It's a little frustrating to say the least.

    But still a little funny

In FF go Tools->Extensions. Find IE View and right-click. Choose Options from the popup menu. You should see the list of Always-in-IE-sites. Select the one you want freed and hit the Delete button.

Sorry - having a bad day and missed the fine print.

This is from the ieview development page. It's not a proper fix, but explains how to disable ieview's always open IE function

This is generally only necessary in unusual circumstances, such as when other extensions are interfering with IE View, causing bookmarks or links to stop working. TabBrowser Extensions is the usual culprit. As of IE View v1.2.2, you can turn off the always-view-in-IE list, which disables the code most likely to run into conflicts.

To completely turn off this feature, you need to manually add a user preference:

    1. Load the about:config screen
    2. Right click, select New, then Boolean
    3. For the name, enter: ieview.disableForce (case sensitive)
    4. For the value, select 'true' to disable all the force-in-IE stuff
    5. Restart Firefox
There also seems to be a problem with ieview and Tab Browser Extensions on some installations. If you use TBE then you maybe a victim of the two extensions fighting each other. In that case, either uninstall one of them, or ditch TBE for the similar TabMix.
