Hi there, my knowledge about capturing is fairy slim. My main purpose is to connect up my cable to the card can cap Music Vids and the like.
What I would like to know is find out what some of the more experienced guys would recommend. Whether to go for a normal TV card and cap from that or to go for one with a built in mpeg2 encoder.
I know a lot about DVD ripping so I can convert most sources to Divx, (which I plan on doing).
Basically I want to know, either go for a normal TV card, and cap loosless or to go for the hardware encoding.
I don't really mind what the initial format is in, as long as I can convert to Divx.
I wish to get a resolution of about 600x480 too 800 x600 and no less.
Thanx a Lot for you help guys !
My System
40 Gig, 7200 rpm AT 66, Drive
Athlon 1.4 Gig
512 DDR Ram
