I've noticed a problem with my vids can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx30Rvp6h9A I'm using Fraps to capture, Vegas to edit and VitrualDub to crop, resize, sharpen, and encode. My settings in Fraps are Half-Size capture at 29.97 fps. My full native resolution is 1920x1080 so half of that is 960x540 and I normall size that down to 640x360 for Youtube's sake and to eliminate the Letterboxing I crop out the Letterbox. I've tried both Divx and Xvid as the codec should I go w/ something else, capture at a different FPS level, capture at full screen? Not sure what I'm doing that would cause the jerky playback. I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.67GHz w/ 4GB DDR2 Ram on a SATAII 7200RPM Drive. Running WinXP w/ SP3 and most recent updates. Video card is a BFG 9800 GTX+ w/ 512MB vRam. Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

  2. Where along the processing does the jerkiness happen? In the Fraps file? After downsizing and converting to Divx/Xvid? After uploading to Youtube?

seems it's in the source videos so I'm guessing it's either a setting in fraps or win xp that I don't have set correctly

  4. I've never used Fraps, but you may not have enough horsepower to capture 30 fps while running a taxing game. Maybe if you bump up Fraps' priority?
