I am using the WinTV2000 program that came with my Hauppage card. I have captured some home video footage. I notice that at the very bottom of the screen and the very top of the screen there is a tiny bit of distortion periodically. I would like to "crop" the picture ever so slightly to eliminate those distortions. Is it possible to edit out the very top and bottom of the captured image to cut out the artifacts I am referring to here?? Does this require a special editing program??

You shouldn't have to edit or crop that. It's in the 'overscan' portion of the video and doesn't show up on a TV. Have you viewed it on a TV yet, or is that just what you are seeing on the computer screen?

I have not watched it on a TV yet. Thanks. Is there anyway to eliminate "overscan" via editing when viewing the video on the computer monitor??
