  1. I can't fast forward or rewind some divx files. I have the latest firmware. Also, I havn't finilized the DVD, I just drag the file onto the DVD-RW+, and then view it on the DVp642. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problems.

    Mpeg2 files work perfectly.

    Some DivX/Xvid files are not muxed properly. I think they do not have an index.

    Anyway, easiest way to solve this highly annoying problem is to just open your file in VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod, set audio and video to 'Direct Stream Copy,' and save it out again.

    That will fix the FF/RW'ing problem.

    Try DIVXfix, that'll rebuild the index as well
