This is what I am doing. I have an avi file on my hard drive, and I converted it to dvd format with divxtodvd, then burned it with copytodvd3 trial version. Afterward my audio and video are out of sync. They were not as the avi file. This happened on three different movies. Is this a simple fix involving a codec or something? Please help, I would appreciate it. I am burning them at 1X.

I just viewed my converted dvd files and the problem is evident there as well. Is there another application i could try for converting avi to dvd format?

ive never used divxtodvd but if it has a audio delay feature xperiment with it to see if you can match the video and audio sync. also convert the audio to uncompressed if its mp3 then convert to dvd.you may have better luck with tmpgenc

I have never had DivxtoDVD create an out of sync movie, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. Open the original AVI in virtualdub and save it out as an uncompressed wav file. Use besweet or similar to create an AC3 file. Demux your new DVD to get the mpeg video stream, then remux and reauthor using the new audio. This should correct the problem.
