If they are just files on the DVD+DL media, then you can just drag and drop them to a folder on your computer......then re-burn those files when you get more of media in.....

Oh...sorry didn't get thats what you were asking....I use copytodvd. Try the newest version of dvddecrypter to rip, and burn. What program came with your burner? If it is a dual layer burner it should have came with some form of software..

The newest version of clonecd does handle DL.
if you want a free software that also delivers good quality dl burns then you could use dvd decrypter, however you would have to convert the files into one ISO image (since decrypter only burns iso).

  6. Just use Nero ("DVD Copy" option) or some other burning software that can burn DL discs. 8)

  7. ok,i cant drag and drop them to a file,it says it will take like 180 minutes then after about 30 minutes it gives an error something like a cycle redundancy check?
Tries copying and pasting them no luck either, same problems.
    Im using windows xp
So back to my original question....how can i copy these?
My dvddecryptor doesnt seem to reognize there is even a disc in the drive.
Clonedvd doesnt make the disc spin up either.
When i click on dvdshrink then the dvd drive takes off but dvdshrink gives an error also(something about file type)!
What would be the best program to read the info on the discs and save it to a file for burning later?????????
I didnt get any software when i purchased the dvd sony dual layer burner.
Do i need software for the burner itself?
I went back and re-read everything...guess whats confusing me is clone(cd)not dvd.........didnt know you used clonecd to clone a dual layer dvd?
Myclone (cd) seemed to read and save the images just fine!
I thought it was just scewed up as i didnt have any of this media to try and see if it really worked or not.
    Maybe all i well?
    thanks for the advice!

    Cyclic redundancy check.
Is your DVD scratched or damaged?
got the latest firmware for the device? updated ASPI?

  9. If its just data, it sounds like your data is corrupt.

  10. It is just data but the dvd's are new!
    no scratches or anything!
I went back to clonecd which i used to read and save, just for kicks i though i would put in a cd disc and try and burn it,seemed to burn it just fine but when i put it in my drive to read...nothing happens!
When i put a regular dvd+r in and try using clonecd to burn the image it saved i get this error.
    Clonecd
Value must be between 1 and 2147483647
    i need help!
I assume if i had a dual layer dvd media to try and burn this maybe it would work????

I haven't tried DL DVDs yet, but I used burnatonce and the ProDVD add-on last night to burn a data DVD+RW (already using DVDDecrypter for ISO/movie burning).

My ulitmate goal is to burn DL discs, but I finished up at 3AM, so figured I'd continue when I had gotten some sleep

Info on burnatonce and ProDVD can be found here:
    http://www.burnatonce.com/index.htm?faq
    click on "DVD General".

    Hope that helps,
