  1. i've got XP on my 2 HD's.
one of them is playing up, so i disconnected it, set other to master.
started PC and get CLIENT MAC ADDR: 002 B395 etc
    invalid partition table etc.
googled it was recommened to disable "boot other devices" in dos and also disabled LAN boot thing.
got same error or another one.
i suppose i could just disconnect bad one and set newer one to master stick in XP CD and start again, but is there another way?

  2. If it's FAT32, boot to a floppy, and change to C:, then type a:\fdisk /mbr
Run fdisk, and set the first partition active.
    It should then boot.
If it's NTFS, boot to the XP CD, and do an over-the-top repair install, or use the repair console if you know what commands to use.
