    I have a 3520A burner that has the hacked firmware to allow faster ripping but when I burn a 8x Ritek GO5 it says it burns successfully but when I go to play it it freezes in the middle of the movie also when I try to rip it it gives me CRC Errors. I burned 16x Riteks the other day with no problem. Could it be the media or is the drived messed up? I can also watch dvd's on the drive.

    Hi Kewlio,

    Sounds like a media issue to me, especially if you did 16X burns no problem.

    One question - are you having a problem ripping ANY DVD, wether manufactured or not? Or is it just the 8x Ritek G5's that give you the trouble?
