is there a program or something to check the ata for my hard drives like ata 100 ata 133. i know you can check the udma setting in windows but i see nothing for checking the ata speed or in bios. and i do not want to open the cover and check the hard drives physicly.

Your BIOS should report the ATA speed either during Boot or if you go to the BIOS settings.
Even if this is not the case, during boot it will report the manufacturer of drives. To my knowledge, only Maxtor drives are made to ATA133 specs. All others operate at 100.The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
