If your saying what I think your saying.... your proud of the fact that you tricked Walmart into refunding your money by putting an old system back into the original box! If that is what your crowing about then your a jerk!

Now someone will buy the unit on clearance and try to bring it back because it's the wrong model and be screwed.

  4. What you did is not only dishonest but is definitely a prosecutable crime. You defrauded Wal Mart, and stole money from them just as if you reached in the till and grabbed some cash.

Not something to be proud of, friend.

  5. Then you wonder why things are so bloody expensive. Its fraud.

  6. That's stealing, plain and simple, you should be ashamed of yourself. Why would you start this thread and tell everyone? What do you think, people are going to respond and say way to go man? You're an idiot.

thanks for the headsup on your integrity. we'll keep your name and posts in mind.

  8. And people wonder why I won't take a chance on an open box special?

Recently We here at work checked out a volume purchase (for someone else) where they bulk bought a chains returns os a certain product.

Amazing how many had unused peripherals with a really worn product. A couple were falling apart in the box when opened.

I'm sumizing but from what I saw a substantial amount of people who had a product under warranty or off warranty just bought an identical product switched the expensive part and returned it.

Sad... Many just had bad batteries (a $30 part) more than half of the broken ones still have warranty. I guess it was easier to swap(steal) than do a warranty that takes less than a week and involves no cost. They send a prepaid return mailer.

    Cheers

  9. Did you REALLY think someone was gonna say, "WOW. You're so cool!"? Pretty damn dumb, I'd say, especially coming HERE, and bragging about it.

  10. I could care less about being touted as cool. I'm just telling people who want to do this, and I know there are many of you that will. Don't give me the stuff about legality, and morality, you guys illegal obtain movies, music and so many other things. So don't even try. 8)

Most places check merchandise more thoroughly, and I've seen stores call the cops on people that try this stuff. Fry's does, as do Best Buy and others. Only a moron would try this. Plus they keep track of your info usually, make you sign papers at refund, so if they find something "funny" later on, they can come get you.

    Very stupid.
