? AC3 encode decode ability

Hello all
Trying to create a music video dvd
can someone tell me a program that can handle ac3 sound input
encode decode
i have tried a few without success
EG:
ulead video studio = no sound on some clips
Tmpgenc = needs a plugin you have to purchace
dvdsanta seems the closest but some files have distorted sound

There's a whole slew of audio tools you can find on this site depending on your source format, which you didn't mention. There's a number of apps that can output .ac3... A few GUI wraps for BeSweet like AC3Machine and Be-Light, there's also Wavepad, Goldwave, and a few others I'm sure. All of those are either freeware of trialware.

My source is rips from my music dvds some with pcm sound
but most with ac3 sound the ac3 seems to be the problem.
looking for a program that will except ac3 .
there must be someone out there that has done this.

That's standard wave format and any of the above mentioned programs will do what you need just fine.

do you need an encoder? or authoring tool???

encoder:
i think winavi supports ac3 and will leave it as ac3 audio.
or just encode the video and add the audio separate when you author.

dosen't the authoring program do the encoding for you thats what i thought happened.
I just tried to create my dvd again using dvd santa all the ac3 clips worked and most of the pcm just one artist didn't and it was pcm sound.
So Mmmm
looks like i'm barking up the wrong tree.
Anyway thanks for the advice guys
