  1. I have a copy of a movie that is in dvd format. It plays on the computer and in one of my dvd players. For some reason it will not play in my panasonic xp30 player that usually plays everything. Is there a way to reauthor this movie to increase the compatability of it? Also how would I figure out what is not right with it? Thanks!!!

  2. Are your "VIDEO_TS" folders capitalized? Ive had folders that werent and would only play in 1 of my players. "video_ts" After that I did that the would play on my other players. Could also try another burning app.
I use Recordnow 3.0 and since I updated it it will let me play on all of my players

  3. I figured out the problem but do not know how to correct it. Here are the specs:

  4. Copy the files from your DVD to your hard drive.
Use IFOEDIT and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.
Select the row that refers to VTS_1 Video, double click and you will get a pop up window.

Change the settings from PAL to NTSC and click OK.

Burn another DVD from the updated files on your hard drive.

This is a quick and dirty solution that works for my SAMSUNG player.
It may or may not work for your Panasonic player.

  5. Thanks for the information. What program did you use to burn it? Both dvd shrink and nero give me an error.
