    Disc Quality

    CD Speed

Going to post a pair of Disc Quality scans. Found it interesting how these discs burned almost identical as far as PIF's go, and damn close with PI's. (not just in numbers, but if you were to hold one over the other, it's VERY similar, the pattern itself.)

Not that important, but does show that

    1. This media ID is nearly identical in quality from one disc to the next.
    2. This burner dosnt fluctuate much at all burning various data.

Conclusion: Buy Sony 08D1 and NEC 3540?

How long to burn a DVD+R at 16X to the end?

Around 6 minutes. Note that I'm using hacked firmware, the default writing for this media is 8x, but it handles 16x just fine.

  8. I have this burner and these discs with stock firmware. Could you point me in the right direction for your hacked firmware or, even more generously, email it to me at dowzup@comcast.net?

    Many thanks.
