    I believe markers in Premiere will transfer to Encore, as will Vegas and DVDA communicate. CCE has a facility although I don't know if you can import them, or have to add them manually.

    Jimmalenko is correct in that you don't add chapter points until authoring, however some encoders will use this information to ensure that you get I frames correctly positioned within the stream for accurate chapter placement at a later point.

    you can import them in CCE no problems ..

    same with vegas and DVDA for chapters and marker placement, but only CCE and TMPGenc (primarily) allow you to exactly specify the exact I frame placement, the others are just to the nearest GOP beginning I frame ..

    I am trying to split a *.vdr file by chapters, that's what I am trying to do. How could I do this?

    Only .VDR file I know is a VirtualDub frameserver "signpost", and that can't be split by chapters. Take it from the top, explain what you start with, and what you'd like to end up with.

    I am trying to make a colletion of some clips from some dvds, putting my logo in all of them at the same time. The virtualdubmod works with chapters I will find out how it handles them

    Is there any Gop Mpeg Editor that while encoding from a frameserved file, can handle with a chapter list, and split this frameserved file by chapters?

    chapters and I frame placement is what CCE uses the chapter list for...

    but you asked about a GOP editor that would split a frame served file into pieces based on a chapter list ....
