    There are times I'd like to link to a short (10 second) segment of Televison Show or Movie to describe a problem or solution. Would that be against the rules?

    I think you'll find it would actually be encouraged, provided it isn't blatant warez (no filenames, known pirate group logos, etc etc). Also, I believe that Baldrick had this in mind when he gave us the power to upload files up to 2MB big.

    So...I take it that's a qualified "Yes" ?

    I'm gonna try it to demonstrate the use of AviSynth filters on HD material in the "Advanced Conversion" section.
