Anyone have any experience with one? Good? Bad? Supposedly has the same Conexant MPEG hardware encoder chip that the Hauppauge PVR-150 has. I'm just curious because Fry's here in the DFW area has them on sale for $49.99 after rebate ($79.99 + $30 rebate).

Superb video quality, if you can get it working with YOUR PVR software.
GB-PVR supports it, as do a few others.
It's a headache to get installed, and beware the remote. Some models (not sure about the Diamond) such as the Sapphire have a VERY crappy remote. The MSI is much nicer.Cheers, Jim

reboot, thanks for the reply -- but I think I missed the sale at this point. Fry's Friday sales only last until the following Tuesday. Also, I bought a Datavideo TBC-3000 on ebay this weekend, so there went any money I would have thrown at the Diamond card anyway

The 550 is the new ATI chip, not the conexant.

Sorry it had nothing to do marketing on Diamond's part. -
Then I was mistaken. If it's the Comexant 23416, it's an excellent card. If it's the Theatre 550 pro ATI chip, then you'll have headaches
