Hey guys I recently downloaded virtualdub 1.6.8 and have been struggling to find how to extract ac3 audio. In the old version of virtualdub I just used to go into the strems tab and demux the AC3 audio. The problem is I have looked all over this updated program for the same features and can't find it, so if someone could help me out I would be very grateful.

Hey thanks for the reply. I tried to extract ac3 audio with virtualdub mod 1.5.10.1 and I got this error message in tmpgenc when I tried to author it.
'Illegal Audio Format'
Illegal Audio Format.
For a standard DVD you can only using the following audio formats.
Dolby Digital (AC3), MPEG-1 audio layer-2, or Linear PCM
My Audio source is:
ac3 (0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc
384 kb/s (5 ch) CBR
48000 Hz
any ideas??? -
I've sorted this problem now using besliced and I've managed to fix the audio. Now I'm having more trouble. I added the video m2v into TDA and got this message.
The existence of audio differs from the present track.
The existence of audio has to be standardized on the track.
There is audio on the present track
I clicked cancel and tried adding my fixed audio
When I tried addin the fixed audio into TDA I get this message
The audio channel mode "stereo" is not compatible with the current track.
The channel mode of the current track is "6ch".
It is necessary to standardize the channel mode on the track.
Re-encoding from this audio format to the audio format of the track is not supported.
any ideas what I can do to sort these problems out???
