fast converter

I am looking for a fast dv avi to mpeg2 converter preferred not to be a freeware. The reason is that i have tried ulead moviefacltory and nero 6 and both seems to take long time. I wonder how long one hour of dv avi needs to be converted to mpeg2 720x480 8000 bitrate ? i have compaq 2.4 mhz , 512 ram and it takes about two and half hours which i see it too long !!

The fastest dv to mpeg2 converter that I have tried is CCE Basic. It costs $60 and is not only fast but produces very good results.
