  5. I think you may be able to do this with PGCedit, though I'm not 100% sure.

Look at PGCedit in the TOOL section and you should see links to all the guides relevant to this program, you may find what you want there.

I think you have picked a task that is way beyond your skill and patience. Depending on the disk, the effort required may be very large, begining with demuxing the video, editing the video to remove or add text that has been included in the video itself, not just as a sub-picture, additioon of new sub-picture(s) to match the original menu design, changes to the menu control structure and re-muxing you video back into the VOB structure. Why do you think there would be a simple guide to do all that ?

You are right - you need knowledge. The best way to get knowledge is to do, not come here screaming for help, doing little or no work yourself, then getting angry when you can't follow the guides. Start simple and learn the steps. The rest will then fall into place.
    Read my blog here.

make a subtitle menu with dvd-lab pro
    https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=680&howtoselect=3;24#680

but I have no idea how to add it....it would probably be easier to reauthoring everything.

  15. create a dummy title, merge it with DVDRemake Pro, and substitute the DVDRM merge menu with your new menu, although you may need an extra button so you can start your movie.
