    Hi

I have just bought brand new Pinnacle's Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Deluxe (USB 2.0 Version ).

Now I have an analog camcorder and i recorded my Teacher's lectures.

I wanted to convert it from Analog Video to Digital Video.

I installed the Pinnacle Studio Plus 9.4 which came with the Hardware and installed the update of 9.4.3.

I connected the Sony CCD-TRV35E PAL Camcorder to my MovieBox by attaching the Composite Wires from Camcorder to Pinnacle MovieBox.

Now i started up Pinnacle Studio Plus 9.4.3 and when i clicked on Capture Menu Tab. I saw the Preview and it was Flickering up and down, left to right.

Sometimes the Flickering was more and sometimes less. I tested this in my syustem which is AMD 1.4 Ghz and then i thought maybe my system is too slow.

So i tested in the latest HP Pavilion dv 1000 Laptop with same results but the flickering was further reduced.

Then i tested the some other VHS video and connected the VCR through composite wires to my Pinnacle MovieBox. Same flickering was copming.

Now, can anyone give me any advice as to what can be the problem. My firend told me that your Pionnacle MovieBox is defective.

I will leave and get it replaced tomorrow.

i tried to take a snapshot, but i couldnt.

for ex. the Video is Square.

Not the Borders of the Video are like moving from from left to right slightly. When they move, they reveal a black space. when i touch the wires, the more the trembling.

Is the Pinnacle set to PAL. These types of boxes usually have jumpers that need to be set for working with different TV standards.

yes, i changed the setting from NTSC to PAL inside The Studio PLus Software.
I asked the store owner, he said that it supports PAL as we do not have NTSC over here.

Ifi go back to the Store to replace the hardware, should i replace it to the Internal BreakOut Box ?
