it is a rar file and you can get the mac version rar to decompress it ..
only problem is that is - that is not the complete file.
there should be more files ..
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/rarosx-3.5.b5.tar.gz"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
note - Command line only
but StuffIt Deluxe also opens rar files"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Unrar-tool with GUI for OSX, UnRarX:
http://unrarx.sourceforge.net/
Downloadable as diskimage, couldn't be much easier.
But, as BJ_M said, there are files missing. Propably should be at least two more (.r02 and r01, maybe pure .rar, too?).i-NCO -
thanks for the tip about UnRarX

should note that that file is part of a warez movie download ..

Thanks for your answers. I have 92 of these files. Will Stuffit Expander decompress these or do I need one of the other programs suggested ? Last (and dumbest
) What is the procedure, when unpacking so many files? Appreciate the help.. . Motti

Usually, multi-segment packets are unpacked by opening LAST file (greatest number) of bunch. It's good idea to have them in same folder, as then you don't need to tell, where the files are, software finds 'em automatically.
Of course, this method shouldn't be used for warez, or other illegal copiesi-NCO -
Thanks for answering my rather dumb questions I'll have a go at opening the files as soon as I get back to my Mac. Motti

Unpacked the .rar files with UnRarX, which in turn produced an .img file and on to .Vob files. Looks like I´m in business ! Thanks again, Motti
