I have a Panasonic DVD S27S progressive scan player. When I author DVD's from AVI files (Divx or Xvid) I get green artifacts on the screen from time to time when there is a lot of action on the screen. I DO NOT get these green artifacts when viewing the DVD with PowerDVD, only in my standalone DVD player.

Do you think this the player itself? Has everyone else experienced this? Thanks!

Are you able to test this on another DVD player to see if it is just the Panny?

  3. i have seen this also but its more the fault dvd player than the program .

my player doesnt do it but my friends does .

one fix you can try is to keep svcd2dvd setting set to widescreen when converting the xvid file espically if the orginal file is already in widescreen .

Haven't tried it on another DVD player but I could try it in the Xbox and report back. I am just wondering if other experienced this with their DVD players. I am sure it's the player because it plays perfectly on PowerDVD.

  8. I had this problem when I was starting out and solved it by dunping the dvd player for another. I tried the burnt disks on other peoples players and they played fine.

I have tested on a Panny and seen the same issue. I have changed an encoding parameter and seen the issue go away. If you want to try the new build to confirm - let me know.

Sure I'd love to! Would I have to reencode the project or could I just reburn the DVD? I assume I'd have to redo the project right?
