  1. Ok, I've been using NeroVision 3 for a while now and for whatever reason, I totally missed this.

You can easily join two AVIs seamlessly within NeroVision and convert them to DVD as a single video (and title). And for those with the multi-channel plugin, this works for AVIs with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio without re-mixing or re-encoding the sound.

After loading NeroVision 3 and selecting "Make DVD Video", click on the "Make Movie" option. Now using the Storyboard View, simply add the AVIs (or drag and drop them from an open folder) in the desired order they are to be joined.

This is far quicker and simpler than using an outside program like VirtualDub to join them.

I've had no problems with this method - the video plays back seamlessly.

I'm not familiar with this Nero product. Does it encode to Dolby Digital if the audio is another format, like LPCM or MP3? If it does, are the streams 5.1 or 2.0 channel?

NeroVision 3 is part of the Nero suite of burning software.

Yes, NeroVision will encode various audio formats including MP3 to either Dolby Digital 2.0 or, with the optional Multi-Channel plugin, Dolby Digital 5.1
