  1. How do you choose between widescreen and full screen with tmpgenc? If it helps, I'm working with The Mummy Returns. Flask gives full screen, tmpg does wide screen and frankly, it looks funny. When put in player, the movie is full screen.

  2. open up the configuration dialog box.
    go to the advanced tab.
    and change the source aspect ratio from there.

  3. forgive me, it's late where i am. i probably read your question wrong.

    You want the source correct, but i am guessing you where talking about the output aspect ratio to change that.

    open up the config dialog and change the aspect ratio to 16:9

  4. The Mummy Returns was released "Wide Screen" and "Pan & Scan". Make sure you have the right release.

  5. dvd2avi->f5

    should tell u the source aspect ratio of the movie.

    no such thing as 16:9 fullscreen, so if the dvd is fullscreen, then it's 4:3.

    however, widescreen dvds can be either 16:9 or 4:3. this is where dvd2avi comes in...

  6. Set the encoding according to what your movie is, if you try settings a Wide Screen for a Full Screen movie, the people will appear a bit on the heavy side

    And If you set a Wide Screen movie to Full Screen, it will appear as if they are anorexy and extremly tall

    In your case, I believe you simply took the Full Screen version of the movie, instead of hte Wide Screen, I did the same mistake with The Grinch, grrr.. yuck!
