    Hello.
Does anyone know how to display the bitrate on the Panasonic DMR-ES10? On my DMR-E50 you press the status button 3 times to show the bitrate -- on the ES10 the status button is only good for 2 presses. I've had the unit for a month, searched every menu and option over and over. The manual doesn't mention anything about the bitrate display. Does it have one?
    Thanks!

Well that won't do! I thought all DVD Recorders had a bitrate display, otherwise you're flying blind. Even the cheapest Panasonic DVD Player (DVD-S27) has one. The newer DVD Recorders are cheaper but they sure have shaved off some needed features. What other features am I going to miss? I think need to buy another $71 E50 from eBay.
    Thanks!

Other than bitrate meter, both position memory and title divide features plus the eject button on the remote were dropped since the DMR-E55.

I have only seen 1 player or recorder that ever shows bitrate. And even then, it wasn't all that accurate.

Hmmm that's queer, must've been a Panasonic 'cuz they all had 'em until now! I thought it was a common feature on many brands. Well they need to bring it back, and while they're at it add audio input level controls and level meters. I'll pay more for more monitoring and control.

  9. Toshiba has audio level input adjustments with meters. Pioneer and Sony have audio input level adjustments, too (no meters, though).

Not the newer Pioneer 231/233. The earlier units.

Which Toshiba has audio level adjustments, meters, and bitrate display? A current model and what do the experts here think of the picture quality?
