  1. Hy all,
I'am at the point to build a writing DVD pc.

When i was creating VCD and expecially SVDC i found that most of standalone DVD player was not able to reproduce CD written more than 4x.
In that case pixel come out in a dramatic way.

I wonder if there is a similar issue making DVD over than 1x written (that I'am actually dooing) and if anyone has experienced a difference between one brand of DVD and another at a parity writing speed.

Could be possible to write 8x and see everything run good on standalone player, or maximum choice would be 4x or ... less?

    thanks in advance

  3. I have burned DVDs at 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x and all have played on my standalone DVD players with no problems at all.

VCDs and SVCDs were notorious for not working at high burn speeds.
