  1. i have a m2v file which is 12 gig i want to use TMPGEnc DVD Author to author my dvd then use dvd shrink to shrink it but TMPGEnc DVD Author keeps chucking out an error. i know my HD has enough space on it so what could be the problem??? or is there better software to use????

    Can you get TMPGEnc author to ignore the error and make the file anyway? BTW, I'm guessing the quality will be crap if you can get the size reduced to 4.37GB with Shrink. It would take several passes. You would really be better off re-encoding the file down to the proper size to start with or splitting it to multiple DVDs.

    How long (in time) is your m2v? You can't just generally say "reducing a 12 GB m2v to 4.3 will make it look bad" It may for all we know be 30 minutes, encoded at a ludicrusly high bit rate...
    I don't think any autoring app will author to more than fits on a DL DVD. Shrink with ReJig before authoring.
