I have searched the forum about this problem but i do not find what i am looking for, so lets get to the point

    I have to video files

one is an AVI file and has the following info:
    Video
    code: DivX 5.0
    Runtime: 00:19:33 (29,317 fr)
    x:y: 480x360 (1.33:1) [=4:3]
    Bitrate: 784 kb/s
    FPS: 24.995
    Qf: 0.182 bits/pixel
    Audio
    Name: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    Bitrate: 128 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) CBR
    Fs: 44100 Hz

the other is an MKV file and has the following info:
    Video
    Code: DivX 5.0
    Runtime: 00:23:37 (33,968 fr)
    x:y: 640x480 (1.33:1) [=4:3]
    Bitrate: 1102 kb/s
    FPS: 23.976
    Qf: 0.150 bits/pixel
    Audio
    Name: mpeglayer3 (mp3) (0x0055) ISO/MPEG
    Bitrate: 160 kb/s (80/ch, stereo)
    Fs: 48000 Hz

what i want to do is to take the audio file from the AVI and put it in the MKV so I will have duel audio

    I have tried the following:
1- demux the audio from the avi and put it to the mkv, set the delay then direct stream copy. It start alright at the set point but then the audio becmes before the video, and one more thing the first audio runs ok and the second does not.
2- I cut the video file so the duration of the audio and the video match but the same problem results.
3- I cut the Video file then add the audio, this time I have changed the frame rate in Vrtdubmod from Video --> Frame rate --> change frame rate so audio and video... the frame rate becomes 25.002 fps and the audio from avi matches withe the video frome MKV but when I add the second audio, it did not work.
4- I take the audio file from avi and put in besweet then change the frame rate of the audio file from 24.995 to 23.976 but the same problem exist.

Simply what i want to do is to take the audio from avi and put it in mkv without cutting anything from the mkv.

please any suggestion that could help or redirecting.

sorry, the threade is long but i wanted to write everything in details.

People usually use BeSweet to fix sync problems. Please search for a guide on this topic around here.
