    Hi,
I have the ATI TVWonder Pro installed on my computer. I can watch and record live television programs and play them back on my computer via ATI's video player. Is there a way I can burn these recorded programs to disk (CD or DVD) and play them back on my home DVD Player ?

    Thanks........

You need a DVD Authoring software. This will make compliant dvd video files to playback on your home dvd player.

Check out the How To guides on the left under Authoring.

You might want to look to see what software it came with, I haven't come across a capture card yet that didn't come with a limited version of a disc authoring app.

Just about any capture softeware is going to see it.

Try www.digitalfaq.com for guides for capturing with ATI cards.

  9. If you are using the ATI multi media center (software that comes with the card), you can configure to have the video captured in avi, mpeg , vcd , svcd.. formats. If you capture video with standard format such as vcd, or mpeg2 , you should be able to burn it to CD (VCD) or DVD using burning software such as Nero.

    Thanks vcd_user.......

I'm just gettting that now, it's a bit confusing I can capture programs from the tv card, without sound, or when I have the tv displayed and I start to record, the tv channel goes black but the sound still plays ? I guess I'll have to play around with things.........

I'm using the Nero OEM Suite, that came with my DVD Burner. Anything I should update or any plugins I need in order burn to disk

  11. I only have captured video from my Hi 8 video camera and put them on VCD before. I used the TV function of the ATI MMC and set it to accept input from composite (not RF , i.e. video out of my camcoder to video in of the TV Wonder card). I then play my video and turn on recording to hard drive. I also set it up to cpature in VCD format. All I have to do is use nero to create VCD using the file captured as input. I don't seem to have audio problem.
If you are burining it to DVD, you have to ensure that it is captured in DVD format (I beleieve it has to be mpeg2). then you probably will need a DVD authoring tool to burn it. The Nero I am using does not have a create DVD function. I used DVDauthor before to make mpeg2 files to DVD which I can play on my normal DVD player.
