  1. whats a good wmv editor? like i have a wmv and i wanna cut it into 3 - 10 second clips and lower the bitrate and resolution

    Windows Movie Maker2 (for WMV). The better editors don't usually edit WMV, they edit AVI or MOV, etc.

    asfbin if you just want to cut,join. if you want to reencode use windows movie maker or windows media encoder.

  4. Asfbin (command line) with Cut Assistant (GUI for asfbin). If you use Asfbin 1.5 or later, try "-rkf" option. With this option you can even cut on non-keyframe positions. asfbin will then only reencode the small part between cut and next keyframe. the rest is simply copied.

    NOTE if you try -rkf and asfbin gives you this error: "Decompression error: VCM decoding driver is not available", the you must install the VCM driver from here:
