Hey, I was wondering if there was any way I could download a program that would allow me to edit VOB files from a DVD, and save it as a high quality WMV. I just want to cut some things out and add fade in/out. So, if you could tell me some programs I would be able to do this with, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

DVD Decrypter can extract the video from the DVD (properly extract it, you don't want to just copy VOB files).

Any number of programs that can decode MPEG can encode WMV. For example, Sorenson Squeeze, Adobe Premiere, Cleaner XL.

Or use dvd shrink in the reauthoring mode to cut out the clip and then convert the vob to wmv using windows media encoder or wmnicenc. All free tools.
